THE BEST 10 CARS IN 2018

Brembo brakes are decisive for braking and acceleration performance of the best cars.

Weeks and weeks testing, analysing the car's behaviour in the most diverse conditions until the 10 best models for 2018 have been announced. This year too the historical monthly magazine Car and Driver has delighted us with the 10 Best Cars for 2018.

An important verdict by a magazine that bases its prestige on its "length of service" (its first issue was in 1955), on its well known independence and on the number of copies distributed: 1.2 million copies was the last coverage recorded for each single issue.

American, German, Italian and Japanese cars find their place in this Top 10. And, what is most important for us, most of these models use Brembo braking systems.

Indeed, because the Brembo brakes don't only equip the planet's fastest supercars but also the sedans and the medium sized engine sports cars.

Taking the data from Car and Driver's spec boxes, we have listed the fabulous 10 according to three different parameters: braking, acceleration and price.

Top 10 for braking

In the 10 best cars ranking based on braking performance, Brembo's braking systems certainly play a leading role: out of the 23 models tested by Car and Driver, 9 out of the first 10 cars use Brembo braking systems. An unrivalled sign of superiority.

The Top 10 for acceleration

The ranking of the best cars for acceleration keeps into consideration the time required to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour (roughly 96.5 km/h).
As it can be seen from the chart, all of the 8 cars that show the best accelerations are equipped with Brembo brakes.

There can be a twofold explanation. On one hand great performances require great brakes, hence the choice of the car makers that prefer Brembo braking systems for their top models.

On the other hand, in order to have a great acceleration, the cars must not only have powerful engines, but also be especially light: in this respect Brembo's braking systems offer a significant contribution thanks to their lightness which is one of their most distinctive features.
